Burnley are eyeing up a summer move for want-away Stoke striker Jon Walters, according to the Telegraph.
Walters, 33, is believed to be unhappy with the amount of game time he is getting at the Bet365 Stadium and it looks increasingly likely that he will force a move away when the season draws to a conclusion.
With Stoke eyeing a summer shake-up, in which several of their senior pro’s will be moved out, Walters could find himself out the exit door and Burnley could be the ones to snap him up.
Andre Gray’s future at Turf Moor remains uncertain and it seems Sean Dyche may already be planning for life without the former Brentford striker.
Walters is likely not to be the only striking arrival at Turf Moor if he signs, with upgrades needed on Sam Vokes and Ashley Barnes if the Clarets are to retain their Premier League status.
Newcastle United also hold an interest in Walters, so they will no doubt provide a stern test in Burnley’s bid to land the Republic of Ireland international.
