Sunday’s clash at Anfield sees Liverpool play host to Burnley, who are aiming to pull themselves further away from the relegation battle.
The Clarets make the short trip to Liverpool winless in their last four games and still without a win on the road this season, although performances have improved in recent weeks.
This game will be Burnley’s third successive away trip, which is quickly followed up by an away trip to Sunderland next weekend.
The trip to Anfield comes after August’s game at Turf Moor, which was originally scheduled to take place at Liverpool, but with construction works going on at Anfield, the game was switched to Burnley.
Sean Dyche’s men ran out 2-0 victors on that day, courtesy of goals from striking duo Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.
However, Sunday’s visit to Anfield is likely not to be as straight forward , especially taking into account the Clarets wretched record on the road.
Burnley’s Joey Barton is available for selection on Sunday after his personal hearing for betting charges was adjourned until further notice.
The Clarets will be without the services of Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Steven Defour, both of whom are still sidelined with injuries.
Liverpool will be without Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge, who will both miss out with injury.
